2007 for Computer-generated Sound with Multimedia, Phantasma 2007 was conceived as a study on cross-modal experience between audio and visual domains. Various sonic textures of the music are translated into diverse movements and color shifts of circles to create a unique imagery that is reminiscent of the piece. Most sound materials employed in this piece originate from various piano and percussion recordings, which were processed by a granulator written in Common Lisp Music(CLM). Animation of Phantasma 2007 was created by Woonogram, a MATLAB-based sound visualization tool written by Woon Seung Yeo. Based on a set of straight forward rules, it maps the spectral information of audio input to various geometric properties of polygons, enabling the user to create simple but flexible audiovisual mappings with highly evocative results. - International Computer Music Conference(ICMC), Queen¡¯s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, 2008/08/28
